Introduction

Welcome to the website of the South West Cumbria Methodist Circuit (SWECC) and the Furness United Reformed Church Pastorate.  Together the 2 denominations have 13 churches in the Furness Peninsula and spread round the Duddon Estuary in South Cumbria stretching from Millom on the western side of this tidal system, round through Broughton, Kirkby, Askam, Dalton and Barrow before ending nearly 30 miles away on the Island of Walney and the Church at Vickerstown.

The Churches are supported by 1 full time Methodist ministers, a deacon, a non-stipendary minister and 2 full time ministers and one non-stipendary minister from  the United Reformed Church (URC) pastorate.

The page for each church gives directions, details about church services and information about events that are going on. There are also links to the current and past newsletters, photographs of past events, and a short History of the Methodist Circuit.
