Service

Millom Methodist Church has had a beautiful annexe built and so can hold more than before. This includes a new kitchen, so we now serve coffee each Sunday. We have a service at 10:45 each Sunday morning, led by one of the Methodist ministers or local preachers. It usually lasts about an hour, and you will be warmly welcomed. At present the church membership is 29,but there are often 40 people attending.
There is a Sunday School, called Shell Club. This meets at 10.00 am in term time except when there is a Family Service, this is usually the 2nd Sunday of each month, at 10.45 am.
There is usually also a 5.30 pm joint service with the Salvation Army at Nelson Street.

Regular Coffee Mornings

These are on Fridays from 9:30 till 10:30 in the new annexe. All welcome!
We are now welcoming the Good News library van to our regular Friday coffee morning on the 4th Friday in the month month.

Meeting Point

This is normally on the 2nd Tuesday of each month, starting at 2.00 pm . All most welcome.
There are also coffee mornings on Tuesdays at Broughton Methodist Church, starting at 10.00 am.

Girls'Brigade

Girls' Brigade in Millom meets on Wednesdays in term time at 6.00pm till 7.30 pm. The older girls stay till 8pm for the chance to do their 'own thing'. This often more teenager-type serious discussion with extra treats like hot chocolate and extra yummy biscuits! There are presently about a dozen girls. We accept girls from age 4 (as long as they have started school). Captain Strange, Lieutenant Giles and Margaret Riley lead the group. The contact number is 01229 772894.

Parent & Toddlers

This meets on Thursdays, from 10.00 - 11.30 am, in term time.

Craft afternoons: We have started craft afternoons on alternate Tuesdays alternating with meeting point (our bible bit!). So far we have 6 members and we spend 2 hours on our various crafts and had several cups of tea! It’s a good way to learn from other peoples interests.
Girl’s Brigade: Some of you may not know that the 1st Millom Girls’ Brigade has been alive since 2005 and at the moment we have 12 committed girls who enjoy their Wednesday evenings. The best part of last year was when ‘Florrie’ from Jamaica came to see us and all our children managed to spend time with her. A very memorable day!
