CREDAL STATEMENT
We are a body of Christians
in Kirkby who meet in this chapel to express
our belief in God – Father, Son and Holy Spirit.
We believe in God the Father:
who created and sustains all things;
who loves us and made each one of us to be
in relationship with him and each other;
who, when those relationships were broken, sent his Son
Jesus Christ to be our Brother, Restorer and Saviour;
who sends the Holy Spirit to be our
Healer, Restorer, Comforter and Guide.
We believe that all people have value and are called to
share in the worship of God and the life of God’s people.
We believe in prayer.
We base our belief on the Bible and on our
understanding and experience of God and the world.
We commit ourselves to maintaining a loving, worshipping
and prayerful community within the Methodist Church and
the wider Christian community.
