ServicesThe church has a service and a Sunday School at 10:30 each Sunday morning. There is a portable ramp for easier access for all. We begin with the singing of worship songs, and then the children go to a separate room for their activities. We finish about 11.30 am, often with a cup of tea/coffee. At present the church membership is 33, and we have a lot going on. You will receive a warm welcome.Tea ClubYou are invited to join us for our Tea Club, which starts at 6:00pm & ends around 7:30pm on alternate Thursdays.It’s a great opportunity to enjoy fellowship over a light meal - and a lovely, gentle way to introduce new people to the church family (or re-introduce those who’ve been away for a while). Bible StudyNon Tea Club weeks now have an opportunity for Bible Study - also at 6.00 p.m., at Hartington Street Methodist Church, on Thursday. Most are led by Martin Williams, and at the moment we’re in the early stages of working through Mark’s gospel, and you’d be most welcome to join us. Coffee and toast will be served from 10:00, soup from 12:00 to 1:30 and tea and scones in the afternoon. Please drop in if you can. Coffee Morning in Aid of Haiti We have all seen the devastation of Haiti and the effects of the earthquake on the people who live there. Although you may have given money already to the appeal, there will be the need to continue to support the rebuilding of lives in this country. Please support this coffee morning, if you cannot attend maybe you can buy and sell some tickets. CIRCUIT/PASTORATE COFFEE MORNING IN AID OF HAITI Beacon Hill Methodist Church Saturday 27th February 2010 10am -12 Midday Bring & Buy Cake Stall Tickets £1 The Dalton and District Women’s World Day of Prayer Servicewill be held on Friday, 5th March at 2:30 p.m. at Our Lady’s and St. Margaret’s R.C. Church, Dalton. The theme of the service is “Let everything that has breath praise God” and is prepared by Christian women of Cameroon. The leader is Mrs Beatrice Hodgson and the speaker is Father Glasswell. Everyone is most welcome to attend. |
