The minister with pastoral charge for this church is Rev. Martin Williams. Ring him on 01229 830844 if you would like to arrange a baptism, wedding or funeral. He is assisted by Rev David Edmondson. The Church is now registered for weddings, so why not call in to have a look around.

Services

It is an active church where you will be given a warm welcome. The church has disabled access, an easily accessible toilet and a loop system. The Sunday services are at 9.30am and lasts for about an hour. Often there is a chance for a cup of tea/coffee and a chat at the end of the service. At present the church membership is 11.

Regular Coffee Mornings

Every Tuesday there is also coffee morning from 10.00 till 11.30 am to which all the community are invited! We serve home made biscuits, with plenty of refills of tea or coffee! Do come and drop in for a chat or to browse the Fairtrade stall.

News

Tuesday 8th July: Art Exhibition and Strawberry Tea. Open from 10am - 4pm with Strawberry Tea from 1.30pm. Come along and enjoy a day in Broughton.
Sunday 13th July: N.C.H. Praise Party. Everyone welcome come and meet Cedric and join in the fun and games.
Friday 1st August: Broughton “CHARTER DAY”. Come along to our Craft and Art Exhibition with refreshments available, from 10.30am - 4pm. Hear the Elizabethan Charter read and collect the pennies which are thrown out. The ceremony takes place at 12 noon on the Obelisk in the Square, proceeding from the “OLDE KINGS HEAD” and returning there for the free drink. Hope to see you all at our long established event - over 400years old.

Coffee Mornings to support Network have been organised so far for the following dates:
Thursday 31st July - Beacon Hill
Saturday 9th August - at Dalton URC, hosted by E Pears & M Dawson.
These Churches use one of their regular coffee mornings for promoting Network and its mission work.
District Summer Event - 16th July, 2pm at Grange-over-Sands Methodist Church, theme - Journeying with God.
Local Preachers’ Refresher Sessions All meetings start at 7:30 p.m. and aim to finish at or before 9:00 p.m. This year, we are looking at the Minor Prophets. The two remaining sessions are: 22/7/2008: led by John Sheldon at 19 Carlton Avenue on Micah 16/9/2008: led by Bob Mantle at Dalton on Amos (please note change of date).
A Grand Charity Concert will take place in Trinity Church Centre on Friday July 25th at 7:00p.m. featuring:-
Barry Scott A STAGE and RADIO Singer from Blackpool with mainly Popular Songs & Ballads of the 1950’s and 60’s.
Jessie Conway (MEZZO SOPRANO) Competition Award Winner at this years South Cumbria Music Festival and nominee in this years forthcoming Keldwyth Singers Award.
Askam School Flute Group A most entertaining group on Flute and Piano, and winners of “Music Makers” class at this years South Cumbria Music Festival.
